Goodbye 2009! Hello 2010! I hope you are just as friendly!
Some of the exciting things from 2009... a big year for the people in my house!
- Nerd Al and I got married after 13 years together,
- My beautiful bunny Suki La turned 4 and handed out loads of kisses and cuddles
- We went on our honeymoon to Thailand (with friends - did i mention Nerd Al and I have been together for 13 years and are quite excited to hang out with our friends too?? hehe I heard this trend of meeting friends on your honeymoon is becoming more popular!)
- We adopted a beautiful gibon for rehabilitation, our gibon's name is "Songkran"... i'm sure many others have also sponsored Songkran... as long as the money is going to gibons its all good:)
- I discovered the world of towel art. See if you can spot two sets of swans and a pair of elephants!
- We went to the island of Phi Phi in Thailand (lovely for photos... not so lovely for fresh water)
- I knitted a lot of booties....
- I crafted... I crafted so much i got to be in "Handmade in Melbourne" with lots of my lovely etsy friends:)
- I rediscovered Melbourne's grafitti... and how much i like to take pictures of it... and doors... pretty doors....
- We sold our first house! And bought a new block which we are trying to build on!
- My only niece turned 1, learnt to walk and has possibly said my name! But she could have said banana... not entirely sure... so similar...
- I started an obsession with Japanese maples... I now have 3... and they are very excitedly growing!
- I started growing succulent babies:))
- I found the joy of edging hole punches that make your paper look lacey. And hence... new packaging! hehe
These are only some of my excitements... what a big year! Hopefully 2010 will be just as exciting!:)

My first treasury:)
After wondering about treasuries for so long I actually got one today! I made it on the spot using favourites from a mostly wedding related theme because I think both me and my fiance are both now starting to get a bit excited about the wedding:)
So I may blog a little bit about it:) It's just what's happening in my life right now!
This is my treasury from today - I can't wait to make a new one:)
I wanted to explain why i chose the images:)
1. Is from the wonderful seller "hellomyfriend", I made wonderful purchases from her which come BEAUTIFULLY wrapped. Her brand identity is really strong and wonderfully cute:) I love this love heart:) It is super cute!
2. When I first started thinking about my wedding I wanted either me or my bridesmaids to wear these (for the cold dandenongs weather!) but now they don't actually match any of our dresses! But I still love it:)
3. I have been so inspired by myrakim from twigs and honey in her beautiful hair flowers and style, I intend to create hair flowers for my beautiful bridesmaids and myself:) I would have had myrakim's but she seems to be so busy!
4. I love that gorgeous blue and purple dress! It is just so beautiful.
5. I am getting one of lillyella's beautiful bracelets made for my wedding day:) She is designing it specially:) I am realllly excited:) I was in Myer yesterday and we were looking at jewellery to wear - i ended up with hair bling and earrings for the bridesmaids but i couldn't imagine wearing any of the jewellery I saw. But when I saw this one! It was the perfect style:) The designer is planning her own wedding too so that is exciting:)
6. I need to buy some cool lace for my cupcake stand:) This would be perfect!
7. Succulents the same as these are going to be used through out our wedding. Possibly in the bouquets but also on all of the tables in the form of decoration/favour/place card:)
8. I just love this designer and all her dresses:)
9.I look the style of these earrings by realisationcreations. Simple and elegant:)
10. I am wearing silver shoes and using a silver bag:) This one is super cute too:)
11. Again with the succulent thing!
12. This dress was one that I really really loved and I looked for something similar when I was looking for my dress:)
I hope you like my treasury:)

Booties:)
I love making booties, they are my best. I love to knit them because they are always so little and cute, and because they are so little and cute you don't get bored of the colours and your don't get bored of the design! These are some booties I make and sell on my etsy site and wholesale so I am ALWAYS making them:) Today I am making a pair in the lightest baby pink with a sweet white top:) They are going to be super cute! These are my most popular colours though, everyone loves the brown:) Or to be more correct and fancy - Latte:) Apparently coffee sells things:)

I wanted to put in a favourite thing that I found from etsy today!
I love this card and I really want to use it for my wedding invites!

They are made by the designers Pocketstudio, who work from "under some stairs in London", coming from a one storey house in Australia I didn't know you could have a studio under the stairs... so they get credit for that as well:) You can see their store here. You should have a look:)

OH DEAR.
So I obviously haven't written in here for SUCH a long time! It is now at least 3 months later! It is the last Friday night of the school holidays and I don't want to go back to school! Obviously I have much more exciting things to do... like making things... my sister is having a baby soon, at least by next Thursday! So I would like to play with that... and find out if it is a girl or a boy! Then I could make it a colour based present... I have a particular elephant pattern in mind, I think it is called "Ellie" by "Melly and Me".
I am currently in the middle of wedding plans. Apparently it takes at least 5 months to make a wedding dress, wedding dress makers are all shut over the whole of January and then it has to be in the store for a month for fittings and you want to make sure you at least give it a month for something to go wrong... so my almost a year to find a wedding dress has turned into a month and being 6"2' does make trying on sample size wedding dresses a little interesting. Plus I need to find a photographer and a celebrant!
Oh it's all too much!
Must go to bed:)
